Hello and welcome,
I am Darrell Bilke, the chief operating officer for the Pinto Horse Association of America. I took over managing operations in 2003 and our office moved to Bethany, Oklahoma in 2004. I am originally from Miami, Oklahoma and now reside in Edmond, Oklahoma. My love for the equine industry started at a young age. I went to Northeastern Oklahoma A & M College and then Oklahoma Panhandle State University and Oklahoma State University where I was on the livestock judging team and competed in calf roping. I was a horse show judge 30 years for 16 different associations. Before taking over PtHA, I was a consultant for Ed Roberts with APHA, Joe Grissom for PtHA, and Robert Klentford for ApHC. I have served as the chairman of International AQHA committee. I was also on the committee that started the International Equine Judges Seminar. I have been inducted into the Oklahoma Quarter Horse Association Hall of Fame, PtHA Judges Hall of Fame, NEO A&M Aggie Hall of Fame, and served as a Past President for Oklahoma Quarter Horse Association. I have also received the OSU Animal Science Distinguished Service Award and the APHA Judges Emeritus Award. My favorite thing about PtHA is that we have a place for everyone and every equine. My roots in the equine industry spread wide and I enjoy getting to continue watching our association grow. The Pinto Horse Association of America was founded in 1956 to promote the Pinto horse, pony, miniature, long ear and utility horse. We are a non-profit organization promoting the Pinto by conformation, performance and color. Our website is here to give you all the information about the Pinto breed and our association, industry, Pinto news, shows and programs, charters and more.
Thank You
