Barbara Newland-Hulsey Women of Inspiration Award

New for 2025, this addition to the PtHA Hall of Fame is inspired by it’s namesake, the late Barbara Newland-Hulsey. Barbara was the PtHA President from 2012-2013. Given that she was the inspiration for the creation of this award, it is our honor for her to be the first inductee.

Barbara was instrumental in the cultivation of PtHA’s welcoming, inclusive atmosphere – from grass roots to National, she made everyone feel welcome. From supporting and inspiring everyone around her at her local Oklahoma Pinto charter, she also served as their President. Nationally, she brought her wisdom and warm demeanor to all by serving on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee and was very involved with the Pinto Queen program until its conclusion in 2010.

Upon her passing, her family started a scholarship fund in her name through the Pinto Heritage Foundation, which when the funding threshold is met, will continue her legacy of inspiring those wishing to expand their education and make their own difference. If you would like to donate, click here.
